My story
I’m an accidental health copywriter. The health part came first, when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer a week after collecting my philosophy and international relations degree. Though I recovered quickly, the experience set me on a lifelong quest to figure out what it means to be ‘healthy’ and how that’s shaped by our environment and culture. So began a weird obsession with health entrepreneurs and their marketing funnels.
Ten years in government allowed me to explore my interest in health promotion, working on public health campaigns on everything from cancer care to physical activity policy. A Masters in Health Policy at Imperial College London was a chance to dig deeper into behaviour change – and better understand how those persuasive marketing funnels used human psychology to get people to act.
Inspired to escape the meeting rooms, I realised I could use my personal and professional experience to help businesses like yours find their voice and get their message out with clarity and confidence. The Copy Prescription was born.
Since then, I’ve written websites, white papers, blog posts and more, for healthcare, health tech and medical organisations in the UK, EU and US.
